One syrup is for dry cough, one is for chesty coughs. What's the difference?
Well with a chesty cough there's probably losts of gunk (mucus) in your airways. Vicks Chesty Syrup contains the active ingredinet guaifenesin, which helps to clear it away and stop you coughing. On the other hand, dry coughs are irritating. So the dry cough syrup contains levamenthol, a suppressant that helps to stop coughing in its tracks, and real honey to soothe your throat.

What's the difference between the lozenges and dry cough syrup?
Vicks Cough Lozenges with Honey work just like the dry cough syrup they’re just a different way of taking the medication. If you’re out and about you might find the lozenges more convenient.

How to take Vicks Cough Syrup for Chesty Coughs:

Adults and children 12 years and over: 3 x 5ml teaspoons of cough syrup.
Repeat this dose every 4 hours if you need to.

Children 6-11 years: 2 x 5ml teaspoons of cough syrup.
Repeat this dose every 4 hours if you need to.

Children 2-5 years: 1 x 5ml teaspoon of cough syrup.
Repeat this dose every 4 hours if you need to.

Do not take more than 6 doses in 24 hours. To be taken orally. Shake well before use.

Vicks Cough syrup for Chesty coughs contains the active ingredient Guaifenesin. This works as an expectorant by thinning the phlegm and mucus in the upper chest and therefore making it easier to cough.

This product also contains: Sucrose, Propylene glycol, Ethanol, Sodium citrate, Sodium carboxymethylcellulose, Citric Acid, Polyoxyl 40 stearate, Flavour 9512, Black cherry flavour, Sodium benzoate, Polyethylene oxide, Sodium saccharin, Menthol, Ponceau Red 4R (E124). Menthoxypropanediol, Water.
