Polytar Plus is indicated as an aid in the treatment of scalp disorders such as psoriasis, seborrhoea, pruritus, and dandruff.Polytar Plus is also of value in the removal of ointments and pastes used in the treatment of psoriasis.
Dosage: Adults, children and the elderly. The hair should be wetted and sufficient Polytar Plus Shampooapplied to produce an abundant lather.The scalp and adjacent areas should be vigorously massaged with the fingertips.The hair should then be thoroughly rinsed and the procedure repeated. Polytar Plus Shampoo should be used once or twice weekly.
Contains Tar Blend 1% w/w.
Tar Blend comprises: Pine tar, cade oil, coal tar solution, arachis oil extract of coal tar.

I have used this shampoo for about 20 years about twice a week and love the feel it gives to my hair (if only the smell could be masked, it would be perfect). Another credit for this shampoo is that stop my hair loss and made my hair stronger and filled some bald spots successfully. ..

the best treatment for psoriasis you can get in the UK, my prefered brand (Denorex) doesn't sell here, but this is a very close second ..

Considering the volume of this product, I think the pricing is pretty good. I suffer from moderate dandruff and have found that it has helped to significantly reduce flaking, although I am yet to find any product that can alleviate irritating itching for more than a couple of days. Personally, I quite like the coal tar smell but know of others for whom this would be a negative. I do find that my hair can feel a bit too "squeaky clean" after I've used Polytar Plus (which, for me, is a little peculiar, given that my hair is normally very oily), but I guess that is the product working properly to remove excess oils! ..

I have severe psoriasis on my scalp and Polytar Plus Shampoo is working very well, after 2 weeks of use. I will say though that the smell isnt too pleasent so i do wear gloves when applying it. ..
