Polytar Liquid is indicated in the treatment of scalp disorders including psoriasis, dandruff, seborrhoea, eczema and pruritus. Polytar Liquid is also of value in the removal of ointments and pastes used in the treatment of psoriasis.
The hair should be wetted and sufficient Polytar Liquid applied to produce an abundant lather. The scalp and adjacent areas should be vigorously massaged with the fingertips. The hair should then be thoroughly rinsed and the procedure repeated.
Polytar Liquid should be used once or twice weekly.
What Does Polytar Liquid Contain?
Tar Blend 1% w/w
Tar Blend comprises: Pine tar, cade oil, coal tar solution, arachis oil extract of coal tar.
Tar products may cause skin irritation, rashes and rarely, photosensitivity. If irritation occurs and persists, treatment should be discontinued.
There are no special warnings or precautions.
You should carefully read all product packaging and labels prior to use.

is an additional handling charge of £3.49 per 25kg. All other delivery conditions apply as above.

Polytar seems to be the only product that works consistently well for psoriasis and dandruff. This concentrated liquid lathers well and lasts a good while. Definitely recommended over other brands. ..

Really helpful shampoo. I have psoriasis in my hands and feet - happily not in my scalp as yet, but have to be very careful about what I immerse my hands in. The GP recommended that I try this and it is entirely satisfactory. I enjoy the "aroma" but realise it won't be to everyone's delight. But the small is not aggressive and doesn't linger. I buy this product from ChemistDirect because their pricing s so competitive, even considering the postal charges. I have recommended this to others, and have explained to my oharmacist why I don't buy it over the counter - she quite understands! ..

Prescribed Polytar Liquid by my doctor over 10 years ago as I was experiencing any itchy scalp which was both uncomfortable and unsightly.
Have continued to use this product once or twice a week ever since and the problem has almost completely been eliminated.
After searching the internet for a reasonably priced supplier, Chemist Direct have consistently given the best value and service. ..
