Cocoa is a skin-conditioning agent that coats the skin with a fine film; thereby diminishing water loss and leaving skin softened and protected. In addition, Cocoa butter is also recognised as a skin protectant, which protects exposed skin from harmful elements.
In its pure form, Cocoa butter is rock solid and nearly impossible to spread on the skin. However, Palmer’s Cocoa butter is specially formulated to increase the cocoa butter’s natural effectiveness by making it easier to spread and easily absorbed into the skin.
I have an Aunt of Caribbean heritage who is over 40 but could pass for 25. I asked her secret- naturally, part of it is that she is lucky enough to have good genes, but she also recommended Palmers Cocoa Butter products. I stocked up on pretty much everything in the range and I love it all.I use the solid cream mainly at night as it is greasy and takes a while to penetrate the skin, quite like Vaseline would. I use it on my face, my dry feet, elbows etc and have recently started using it on my stretch marks too, the effects are remarkable. I`ve been using these products for a couple of years now and people say I look much younger than my years (29) as I have no fine lines or wrinkles yet. It is worth noting that the white women in my family dont age very well and so I was worried I`d be the same. I only wish they`d discovered Palmers too! Its helped with my stretch marks, it doesn`t happen over night, but it does work in time. Be aware that the solid block is very heavy and greasy, but perfect for dry skin, particularly in cold weather or after being in the sun- it does kind of sit on the skin for a while and takes time to be absorbed so its best to use this product at night or when you`ve got time to let it sink in. I`ve spent a fortune on expensive, designer skin products in the past, but Palmers, which is very affordable and lasts forever, is the best range I`ve used, by far and I wont be using anything else, ever again.
