Otex Ear Drops are the UK's best-selling treatment for ear wax. Having uncomfortable blocked ears, difficulty hearing or earache due to excessive ear wax can be easy to treat at home, without having to visit the doctor. Otex Ear Drops are an easy way to treat ear wax. In fact, they are clinically proven to clear wax effectively and reduce the need for syringing.

Otex is a dual-action ear wax treatment that works in two ways:

  • by softening any hard build-up of ear wax
  • by breaking the ear wax down into small pieces, so that they can be lost from the ear more easily

Otex contains urea hydrogen peroxide, which reacts with moisture in the ear wax to release oxygen. The bubbles of oxygen help to break up the wax, while the remaining urea and glycerol soften any hardened wax so it can be shed naturally from the ear.

Otex's special formulation is clinically proven to reduce the need for syringing.

Is it advisable to use Otex before syringing?
Published clinical trials have demonstrated that recent use of Otex can make ear syringing much easier, and in some cases can avoid the need for syringing altogether. It should not be necessary to use any ear wax remover drops soon after syringing because it generally takes a few months for new wax to build up. If the problem recurs much sooner than this you should seek medical advice because this should not normally happen.
