What is Chafing?

When skin repeatedly rubs against skin or clothing, it causes friction which can lead to chafing. This can be caused by sport or just general activity, even just walking around the shops! What is the cause of chafing?

Chafing is caused by skin rubbing on skin or clothing rubbing on skin. When skin repeatedly rubs against skin or clothing, e.g. between thighs, against waistbands or seams in clothing, it causes friction which can lead to chafing.

Chafing can occur during sport or activity – but it can also occur doing everyday tasks or in the heat.

How to apply Lanacane Anti-Chafing Gel - Simply smooth a small amount of Lanacane Anti-Chafing Gel onto the skin where chafing is likely to occur or has already occurred. The gel dries quickly to a clear, non-greasy finish and leaves your skin feeling ultra soft and smooth. In addition to protecting your skin the gel will also calm and soothe any irritation caused by previous chafing.

Lanacane Anti-Chafing Gel contains - Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Zea Mays (Corn starch).

For orders under £40 in value we charge £3.49 for UK mainland delivery, regardless of weight and size. The vast majority of orders (over 90%) are despatched either on the same working day or the following working day. A signature is required on receipt. Our standard delivery option includes packaging, handling, delivery insurance and Royal Mail 1st Class recorded delivery postal costs.
To ensure patient safety, private prescription orders are despatched via a courier delivery service and are not eligible for free delivery.
For orders that weigh 25kg or more (and for every subsequent 25kgs) there is an additional handling charge of £3.49 per 25kg. All other delivery conditions apply as above.
