Kaolin and Morphine Mixture BP provides relief from occasional diarrhoea and upset stomachs. The first active ingredient in the mixture, Morphine, increases the frequency of bowel movement and reduces the pain associated with diarrhoea (muscle contractions). The second active ingredient, Kaolin, removes the toxins from the digestive system and increases the bulk of solid waste.
Adults and children over 12 years: Take two 5ml spoonfuls up to 3 times daily.Children aged 5-12 years: Give one 5ml spoonful up to 3 times daily.
Shake the bottle.
Each 5ml spoonful of Kaolin and Morphine Mixture contains: Light kaolin BP 1g, sodium bicarbonate BP 250mg, morphine hydrochloride BP 0.458mg and ethanol.
Do not exceed the stated dose.

Having used this many years ago for a stomach bug, I was glad to see that I could still get it through Chemist Direct, it is the only stomach medicine I know that works after taking just one dose, and now that I know that it can be shipped to me in Australia I could not be happier, I also ordered the Kaolin mixture for my Grandson, to take when he get a tummy bug Thanks again Chemist Direct.. ..

A very long favourite remedy for upset stomach which has got harder and harder to find. So well done Chemist Direct. A big advantage is that as a liquid a small dose can probably do the trick for fast track stomach settling without ceasing longer term action! ..

It was so helpful to find this product again - i haven't seen it for a few years, but have never forgotten how it took away the severe discomfort and pain of cramps caused by a gastric upset. My daughter suffers from episodes of IBS, which cause her the same symptoms. Since receiving the medicine, I know she will quickly find relief when she needs it.. ..

This is a must for the medicine cabinet. It was first given to me at the Sick Bay of a large national company when I had a bad stomach ache over 30 years ago. It was so effective that I have tried to have a bottle in my family medicine cabinet for emergencies. It is getting a lot more difficult to buy and all my local chemists have stopped selling it. Perhaps it is the low content of morphine. They try to sell you something else, but I have yet to find one that gets rid of that dull ache one sometimes gets with a bad stomach. Indigestion remedies do not always work. ..

Kaolin & Morphine Mixture is a tried and tested cure for upset tums.
Some chemists will tell you it's no longer available.
Some will say they stopped selling it because they found it was being injected by drug addicts. This is all tosh.
It works well and it's cheap, but they want you to pay 4 times as much for a fix for your problem. ..
