IbuprofenTablets 200mg can also be used to relieve other painful conditions such as headaches, migraine, toothache, nerve pain (neuralgia) and period pain. It is also useful for reducing fever and discomfort associated with colds and flu. Ibuprofen 200mg tablets contains the same active ingredient as Nurofen tablets which retail for £6.23 in chemists and supermarkets. We keep our overheads to a minimum, ensure the margins added are fair and work on larger sale volumes than a local chemist. All these measures provide major cost saving benefits to the consumer. Our prices on this medication are based on the non branded version of Nurofen Tablets. Nurofen's active ingredient is Ibuprofen 200mg which actually provides the desired effects. Average chemists charge £3 for the non branded version.

Does your medication give me the same effect as the branded version?

Absolutely. When a pharmaceutical company develops a drug it is given unique rights to sell it for a number of years. Once that ends any company can make it providing they meet the regulations. Therefore, over the counter drugs have identical medical properties regardless of brand, packaging and advertising.

How to take Ibuprofen Tablets 200mg:

• Adults and children of 12 years and older should swallow 2 tablets/caplets with water, then if necessary take 1 or 2 tablets/caplets every 4 hours.
• Do not exceed 6 tablets/caplets in 24 hours.
• Not suitable for children under 12 years.

• Disturbances of the gut such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, indigestion or abdominal pain
• Skin rashes
• Bleeding from the stomach or intestine
• Stomach or duodenal ulcer
• Retention of water in the body tissues (fluid retention), resulting in swelling (oedema)
• Headache
• Dizziness
• Depression
• Confusion
• Drowsiness
• Balance disorders involving the inner ear (vertigo)
• Sensation of ringing or other noise in the ears (tinnitus)
• Visual disturbances
• Abnormal reaction of the skin to light, usually a rash (photosensitivity)
• Allergic reactions such as severe skin rashes, swelling of the lips, tongue and throat (angioedema) or narrowing of the airways (bronchospasm)
• Kidney, liver or blood disorders
• The side effects listed above may not include all of the side effects reported by the drug's manufacturer.

Use Ibuprofen Tablets 200 mg with caution in:

• Elderly people
• History of disorders affecting the stomach or intestines
• Inflammatory bowel disease
• Kidney disease
• Liver disease
• Heart Failure
• High Blood Pressure
• People with blood clotting problems or taking anticoagulant medicines
• History of asthma
• History of allergies
• Diseases affecting connective tissue, eg systemic lupus erythematosus
• Not to be used by people whereby aspirin or other NSAIDs, eg ibuprofen, cause allergic reactions such as asthma attacks, itchy rash (urticaria), nasal inflammation (rhinitis) or swelling of the lips, tongue and throat (angioedema).
• Active peptic ulcer or a history of this
• People who have ever experienced bleeding or perforation of the gut as a result of previous treatment with an NSAID.
• Severe heart failure
• Severe kidney failure
• Severe liver failure
• People taking other NSAIDs, including COX-2 inhibitors
