Feminax Ultra is specifically indicated to target period pain and contains the active ingredient called naproxen, previously only available on prescription from the GP. It works by reducing the production of prostaglandins, which in turn reduce the contractions of the uterus.
It works directly at the site of the pain to offer long lasting relief.
The first dose offers relief that can last for eight hours, or longer. The relief for some women can be for up to 12 hours.
It is also gastro-resistant and so helps to minimise stomach side-effects.
Feminax Ultra is suitable for women aged between 15 and 50 years old.
On the first day take two tablets to start with, and then take one tablet 6 to 8 hours later if needed. Then if needed on the second and third days take one tablet every 6 to 8 hours.
Do not take more than 3 tablets a day.
Do not take the tablets for more than 3 days in any period.
