Chlorhexidine is used in dental medicine to inhibit the growth of bacteria. It has a longterm effect: Bacterial plaque is kept at bay for eight to ten hours.

Why use Curasept Mouthwash
Chlorhexidine is active against various bacteria, viruses, bacterial spores and fungi. It kills the micro-organisms associated with various mouth and throat infections, and other common conditions in the mouth. Chlorhexidine has also been shown to prevent the formation and build up of plaque on teeth, which helps prevent inflammation of the gums (gingivitis). It can therefore be used as an aid to oral hygiene.

Normal Side-effects of Chlorhexidine
In the long term, traditional Chlorhexidine applications lead to painful irritation of the oral mucosa, to changes in the sense of taste and to heavy brown discolouration of the tongue and the teeth.

For orders under £40 in value we charge £3.49 for UK mainland delivery, regardless of weight and size. The vast majority of orders (over 90%) are despatched either on the same working day or the following working day. A signature is required on receipt. Our standard delivery option includes packaging, handling, delivery insurance and Royal Mail 1st Class recorded delivery postal costs.
To ensure patient safety, private prescription orders are despatched via a courier delivery service and are not eligible for free delivery.
For orders that weigh 25kg or more (and for every subsequent 25kgs) there is an additional handling charge of £3.49 per 25kg. All other delivery conditions apply as above.
